A Mystery in New Orleans
Latest ProjectsI visited St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 in New Orleans last November, and took a photo of a crypt surrounded by a fence that was topped with these three different finials, all in a row. I thought it was unusual to have different decorative ornaments on the same fence, but New Orleans’ oldest cemetery is filled with rich history and symbolism, so I’m sure there is some meaning and purpose to my mystery finials. These three canvases are each 12″ x 4″ and are meant to hang together.
FMH Crestwood Gallery Summer Show
Latest Projects, NewsI don’t often paint for a specific show or theme, but this painting is an exception. It’s for “Life’s Inspiration”, opening May 8th at the Women’s Center at Frederick Memorial Hospital Crestwood Art Gallery. A portion of the sale will go to the Women’s Center Charitable Fund.
The title, “She’s Got Her Ticket and She’ll Fly, Fly, Fly…” is borrowed from a song by Tracy Chapman.

Latest ProjectsTAG Box Show 2017
Latest Projects, News, Upcycled ProjectsMy box for TAG/The Artists Gallery Box Show is finished! I’m calling this piece “Ready, Aim, Do Art”. I used the 10-inch square wood cradle panel box supplied by TAG, ammunition cans, spray paint, Color-aid and a little computer wizardry to complete the piece. The Box Show is a silent auction fundraiser for TAG. Opening is March 4th.
Update: This piece went for $100.

Latest Projects, Li'l Birds
“Snake Glass” is another interpretation of a child’s art project. I divided this incredible mosaic snake into three parts on separate gallery-wrapped canvases. The finished piece can be hung any number of ways: horizontally, vertically, all in a row, one above the other, wrapped around a corner. The possibilities are as endless as the colors and patterns in this snake. Children love to see their artwork displayed. My “Li’l Birds” are novel interpretations of children’s art, perfect for keepsakes and gifts. Contact me if interested in having your child’s art recreated in this special way.
