This painting is a collaboration of sorts. My son started it while in college, basically laying the foundation of palms silhouetted against a tropical sunset. Then he abandoned it. I was granted permission to gesso over it and reuse the canvas, but instead I finished it. It now hangs in his home in Santa Clara, California.
